At Common Tables, we are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy is in place as an expression of that commitment and to provide information to you about how we gather and handle your personal information. Our Privacy Policy applies only to data which is gathered on the CommonTables.org web site (herein after called “the Site”) and to data which is collected through email surveys of our membership. This Privacy Policy does not apply to any website other than CommonTables.org, nor does it apply to any non-computer based communication between Common Tables, or any other company or organization, and consumers. Information We May Collect From You
To efficiently operate this Site and to provide you with information about products or services that may enhance your Common Tables experience, we will collect information in three general categories:
1 "Personal Information" – Information included in this category is that which could be used to contact you directly (without using the CommonTables.org site). Examples of such “Personal Information” include but are not limited to: full name, phone number(s) and/or your email address.
2 "Financial Information" – Most typically credit card numbers or passwords
3 "Demographic Information" – This includes all information that you submit, or we collect, that fits neither in the “Personal Information” nor “Financial Information” category. Examples include, but are not limited to, zip code, city/state, gender, birth date, browsing history information, searching history information and registration history information. There are two categories of Demographic Information:
a. 1) "Non-Public Information", which consists of purchase history information submitted to the Site and records of communications between you and Common Tables.
b. 2) "Public Information", which includes all other Demographic Information.

Our Use of Personal Information
Your email address and your other personal information help us to smoothly and efficiently operate the Site, to contact you when necessary (including, but not limited to, emails sent for validation or those containing important news that could affect your association with Common Tables). These types of emails are known as "Administrative Emails." In some cases, Administrative Emails may also contain marketing messages, such as banner ads.
We may also use your personal information to send newsletters, general information, offers and other advertising materials for Common Tables's or third parties' products or services. We make an effort to send you specifically those offers of value to you, such as discounts, offers available only to Common Tables’ members and information on special events.
To administer the Site, including processing your membership and enhancing your member activities on the Site, we may share your personal information with support services, such as those who authorize credit card transactions, services for the processing of emails, customer relationship management services, and those with whom we contract to provide order fulfillment services. Our Use of Financial Information

Cases in Which We May Share Personal and/or Financial Information
Following a change in ownership, a transfer of assets, or a bankruptcy, you’re personal and/or financial information may be provided to a third party. Personal and/or financial information may also be divulged if we conclude that such divulgation is required in order to comply with relevant law, to assist law enforcement or to guard the interests of Common Tables. We also may provide your personal or financial information to affiliated businesses and/or legal entities with whom we share common ownership or corporate control. When personal and/or financial information is divulged under the terms of this paragraph, we may also divulge your demographic information on a named basis. Our Use of Public Information and Other Demographic Information
We may examine all demographic information. We may use your public information to aid other members in locating your profile and to help other members communicate with you. We may use your demographic information to further our goal of constantly and continuously improving the Site and our communications to better serve you. Additionally, we may share unidentified (anonymous) demographic information with advertisers. An example of a purpose for which we might share unidentified demographic information is to boost the chances that an advertiser’s goods and/or services will be presented to the most appropriate group of Common Tables’ members. To that end, specific ads may be targeted to specific demographic groups. Demographic information shared with advertisers is unidentified (in other words, we do not divulge to advertisers which of our members belong to specified demographic groups), as provided elsewhere in this Privacy Policy. We ask that you keep in mind that if you do respond to an advertisement, and if that advertisement has been targeted to a particular demographic group, then by your response that advertiser may be able to identify you as being a member of that specific demographic group. Site Security Precautions
The Site has security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Privacy Policy Changes and Previously Gathered Information
Prior to using any specific, personally identifiable information in a manner other than that disclosed in our Privacy Statement at the time the information was collected, we will notify Common Tables members by email and/or by providing a 30-day notice on the Site. Additionally, and as disclosed in the first paragraph of this Privacy Policy, we will, without notice, continue to have the right to change our Privacy Policy; however, such changes will only pertain to information collected on or after the effective date of said change. Updating Your Account and Email Preferences
You will be given the opportunity to opt-out of certain communications. Please note that opting-out of receipt of email communications from Common Tables only changes or deletes the data in our database for purposes of future activities on the Site and for managing future communications from Common Tables. Any changes or deletions you make to the Common Tables database will not change or delete emails or information that we may have earlier forwarded to other members, to credit card companies or to any other third parties, as specified previously in this Privacy Policy.
